About Shadi Karimi, Esq., LL.M.

Shadi Karimi, Esq., LL.M., is a New York licensed attorney, educated in Civil and Common Law systems. As the founding/managing counsel of KB Immigration Law, LLC (KBI Law, LLC), she brings diverse legal expertise to the firm, including 14 years of experience as a Foreign and Comparative Law Consultant for the Law Library of Congress – the principal research arm of the U.S. Congress.

In this capacity, she continues her dedicated service. Additionally, Ms. Karimi extends her commitment to social justice by providing pro bono asylum representations through Human Rights First (HRF) / Project Afghan Legal Assistance (PALA).

A graduate of American University, Washington College of Law, and Azad University, Tehran Branch, Ms. Karimi is an active member of leading legal associations, including the American Bar Association (ABA), American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Federal Bar Association Immigration Law Section (FBA ILS), and the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild (NIPNLG).

She holds immigration law certificates from American University, Washington College of Law, and Cornell Law School. Her passions are international human rights, civil rights, and social diversity.
