Nyusha Samiei | نیوشا سمیعی

Nyusha practices primarily Family Law, as well as Civil Litigation and Estates Law. She has appeared before the Provincial Court, Supreme Court, Residential Tenancy Branch, Mental Health Review Panel, and Human Rights Tribunal.

Nyusha articled at a boutique downtown Vancouver union-side labour, employment, and human rights law firm.

During law school at the University of Windsor, she received a fellowship to assist a United Nations Special Rapporteur write an annual report to the United Nations.

She was also elected to serve on the Board of Directors and Board of Governors of the university student union.

Prior to law school, Nyusha graduated with two Master’s degrees in History, with a focus on gender studies. She received university grants to complete her primary research in three languages.

During and after her graduate studies, Nyusha worked in Alumni Relations and scholarship fundraising at three major universities.

In these roles, she liaised with major stakeholders and focused on client satisfaction.

Nyusha has also volunteered and engaged in community service for women, immigrant groups, and students, and she is committed to access to justice.

Nyusha speaks English, French, and Persian fluently and can serve her clients in these languages.

Due to her diverse background, empathetic and energetic nature, and community organizing skills, she can understand her clients’ issues and is devoted to resolving them.
