Charlotte has been designated a U of T Scholar, named to the Dean’s List each year, and has received numerous awards, all for her academic performance.

Throughout her academic pursuits, she dedicated her time to volunteer with Osgoode Hall Law School’s Dean’s scribes, actively volunteered in both Federal and Provincial election campaigns and gained practical legal experience by working many years as a Student-at-Law and subsequently completing her Articling at a Criminal Defence and Family Law firm in Thornhill, ON.

Her passion and interest in the law and justice system began with a high school trip to a courthouse in downtown Toronto.

Since then, she has been pursuing her goal of assisting civilians, serving the voiceless, and upholding the principles of justice and fairness.

Successes

R v. P.C.
The client was charged with two counts of possession of property for $1.2 million in cash currency and several kilograms of schedule one substances, and one count of conspiracy, facing a minimum of 14 years of imprisonment. Following a week-long preliminary inquiry hearing, two of the three counts were withdrawn, and a very favourable resolution was reached.

S v. Z
The parties were common-law partners with one child. Successfully obtained exclusive possession of the home, division of sales proceeds and $2,000.00 monthly child support.

MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment)
Sale and transfer of shareholders’ shares.

R v. K.R.
The client was charged with over 80 and impaired operation with a BAC of 130 mg. After rigorous pre-trials, the matter was reduced to a Highway Traffic Act violation of careless driving, and the over-80 and impaired operation charges were withdrawn.

R v. R.K.A
The client was charged with domestic assault. Charges were withdrawn.

C v. B
Obtained shared residence, shared decision-making authority, child support, spousal support and a very favourable equalisation payout.

Ontario Number Company v. J.S
Substantial contract dispute. Matter settled prior to litigation proceedings.

R v. A.L
The client was charged with assault and harassment. All charges were withdrawn.

R v. M.B
The client was charged with 4 counts of assault, 1 count of assault with a weapon and 1 count of breach. Matter resolved favourably a few weeks before trial.
