Elham Beygi

Elham Beygi is a founding partner of Englobe Law LLP and a highly experienced litigator whose practice focuses on family law, civil litigation, and commercial disputes. She represents a diverse range of clients, from individuals navigating complex family transitions to businesses engaged in intricate contractual conflicts. With a reputation for handling high-profile matters, she frequently manages cases involving multi-jurisdictional assets and complex international elements, providing clarity and strategic direction to those she represents.

Elham has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal. Her background includes extensive work at prominent law firms, where she built a strong foundation in corporate and commercial matters, real estate, estate law, construction disputes, and constitutional litigation. She continues to collaborate with Morrison Law as co-counsel, bringing a broad perspective to every file she handles. Whether in the courtroom or during negotiations, Elham is recognized for her rigorous analytical ability, her multidisciplinary approach, and her commitment to advancing her clients’ interests with both pragmatism and compassion.

Her approach to the law is deeply informed by her extensive academic background. She has defended her PhD Comprehensive Examination in Legal Philosophy at McMaster University, holds an LL.M. in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, and earned a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from York University with a focus on law and philosophy. Before she practiced in Canada, she earned her LL.B. from Shahid Beheshti University and completed her NCA accreditation. She also holds a certificate in Maritime Law and Shipping Contracts from Lloyd’s Maritime Academy in London.

Beyond her practice, Elham is an accomplished educator who has taught courses at McMaster University, York University, and the University of Toronto, covering subjects such as law and society, political science, gender studies, and legal philosophy. She is a published author whose academic work explores the intersections of corporate and social responsibility in contract law.

Elham is also a co-founder of a travelling platform for Farsi-speaking scholars in the humanities and social sciences. She is fluent in Farsi and has basic proficiency in French.
